KC Colleges, Dept. of Mass Media Organised 6th Intl.Media Summit

Mumbai. The Department of Mass Media, Kishinchand Chellaram College organized its Sixth Media Summit – Annual International Conference on February 15-16, 2019. The two-day interdisciplinary conference organized in association with The Hindu was based on the theme Media Integrity. The chief guest on the occasion was Mr. Anil Harish, President, H(S)NC Board. The inaugural address was given by Google – certified trainer Dr. Umesh Arya, who is also a Professor at the Department of Communication Management & Technology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, Haryana.

A panel discussion on the topic ‘Media and Political Communication’ was one of the main highlights on the second day of the conference , which had prominent speakers like Mr. Saurav Dutta, Legal correspondent Skilled in Negotiation, Journalism, Legal Writing, Constitutional Law, and International Law; Dr. Sangeeta Bagga Gupta Professor Chair, School of Education and Communication Jönköping University, Sweden and Dr. Mugdha Rai, Lecturer, School of Media, Film and Journalism Director, Master of Strategic Communications Management Monash University, Australia to name a few.

There were 40+ paper presenters who presented their researches and finding. The conference was truly an enriching experience as it provided students and participants a platform to interact and learn with the leaders from the education field and media industry.

KC College was established in 1954 under the aegis of the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board, H(S) NC Board. It won the ‘Best College, (Urban Area) Award’ by the University of Mumbai in January 2015. The college strongly believes in using innovative methods of learning for the benefit of its students.
