In order to celebrate the spirit of monsoon the multi cuisine restaurant – MoMo Café – at Courtyard by Marriott has announced a 10 day food festival ‘Lucknowi Bawarchi Tola’, beginning from 6th of July and ending on15th July, between 7.30 and 11 pm the festival will showcase a wide array of royal Lucknowi cuisine prepared by team of speciality chefs from Lucknow. This will include veg and non veg kebabs, tikka and kormas with chutney and parathas. Hotel’s Lucknowi food expert Chef Asif Qureshi will lead the team of chefs.
Chef Asif Qureshi said, “The monsoon commands some mouth-watering delicacies that could make your rainy day experience a bit extra special. The Lucknowi Bawarchi Tola food festival is here to give foodies in Bhopal an opportunity to taste the delicacies from the land of the Nawabs.”
Chef Asif further mentioned, “this cuisine originated in the giant kitchens of the food loving Nawabs, Lucknowi food’s subtly flavoured and the aromatic making involves finely ground spices which are cooked in the unique ‘Dum’ style. It is a combination of slow cooking with perfect ingredients that brings the flavour.”
My take: The festival is certainly a feast for the palate of heavenly culinary delights. I recommend; Chukandar & Arabi Galauti, Kesarbagh Tala Murgh, Maz Kee Galauti, Murgh Tikka, Gosht Ke Parche, Seekh Kebab, Haidari Paneer Tikka, Aaloo Aatishi in starters.
For those who love sweets like me – shahi malai firni, shahi tukda are something worth trying.
