TIO  NEW DELHI

the quaint and very popular Kunzum Travel Cafe, Gurugram witnessed the scintillating finale of the third edition of prestigious Mrs. India- Delhi-NCR 2019. Breaking all stereotypes, this pageant with the six shortlisted candidates (following extensive rounds of auditions, personal interviews and talent hunt) competed in not one, but two categories, i.e. Mrs. India (for ages 20-39 years) & Mrs. India Classic (for ages 40-59 years)  to celebrate a woman’s  success and achievements inside the home, or at her work place irrespective of age.
A Brain Child of the renowned Mrs. Deepali Phadnis, National Director of Mrs India Pageants & Productions Pvt. Ltd, this avante-garde concept was skillfully brought together by Ms.
Radhikka Tejppal, Regional Director, Delhi/NCR.
Ms. Radhikka, a former flying fleet with a leading international airline till 1996, was herself, a winner of Mrs. India (Classic category) in the year 2018 and later went on to putting India on the international map by winning the prestigious Mrs. Asia (Mrs. Personality) conducted in November, 2018 at RayongThailand.
There was no looking back for Ms. Radhikka, even as she next embarked on a unique journey of brief yet gripping talk shows called ‘Rads Beauty Express’ on her youtube channel, each episode highlighting everyday women of substance from different walks of life who have carved a niche of their own through their steadfastness and strong resolve.
A strong propagator of education amongst the girl child, the quintessential combination of beauty along with brains, Ms. Tejpal’s vision this year was not just to crown the ‘most beautiful’ but a chance for all the contenders to build on their self esteem and giving back to the society, something she has been exemplifying herself all her life.
The dazzling event combining the best of the region’s beauty, intellect and talent was well attended by a diverse audience with the celebrity guest being Award winning screenplay writer and actor Ms.Puja Ballutia who has been hugely felicitated at numerous national and international film festivals.
The esteemed Guest of Honor for this extravaganza was the cynosure of media, the much acclaimed new age established Odissi dancer Mrs Vani Madhav.
The event which spanned over three days boasted of an imminent jury consisting of Ms. Renu Gupta Adhikari and Ms. Sapna Anand for the talent round.
Saturday, August 10 was the finale and crowning of the beauty queens and its erstwhile jury comprised of Ms. Dimple Vohra &  Ms Resham Chawla.
Function was also attended by the renowned dietician Mr. Varun Katiyal.
With her keen eye for the minutest details to churn out the best amongst all contenders, Ms. Deepali Phadnis personally formed the intrinsic part of the jury for both talent round and the grand finale. A former Mrs. Asia 2012, Ms. Phadnis is a name who needs no introduction in the fashion industry. Coming from an IT and engineering background and steadily yet firmly making a mark for herself and her concept in a market filled with numerous pageants was no easy task. Yet with her grit and determination, today Mrs. India Pageants stands out as a trendsetter where not ‘models’ but ‘role models’ are discovered.
The shortlisted candidates competing for the coveted positions were namely, Jyoti Singh, Yukta Dawar, Aradhana Jain from the Mrs. India Classic Category and Cherry Paswani, Ruby Chaudhary and Jagriti Sikka from Mrs. India category.
