Since its inception in 2006, SPHEEHA (Society for Preservation of Healthy Environment and Ecology and Heritage of Agra- a registered NGO) has been a flag bearer for various launches to sensitize public for preservation of environment and ecology of the planet. It now has spread its wings across the Globe to four continents in over 200 locations. Activities of SPHEEHA include extensive tree plantation drives, workshops, conferences and other activities viz. drawing painting competitions etc., focusing on various strategies pertaining to conserving environment.
Now SPHEEHA is going in for social upliftment work also. In this connection, a three day placement camp was organised at Rajaborari from 25th to 27th Nov 2022 for the students graduating from various educational institutions located in Rajabirari and attached to Dayalbagh Educational Institute, a Deemed University. The charter of Educational institutions at Rajaborari is to cater to the last, the lost, the least and the lowest members of society and enable them to rise from where they are to a happier, more satisfactory state.
Famed institutions like MSME Recruiter, Force Motors Ltd. and Crompton and Greaves Power & Industrial Solution shall be recruiting students from Rajaborari Educational Institutions from amongst various streams.
SPHEEHA Volunteers led by Ms. Rachna Singh, Mr. Guru Charan Suri, Mr. Pankaj Sharan and Mr. Amit Shrivastava helped organise the camp.
The spirit of the placement camp is to give students not only a chance to earn by putting their education to use but also to give direction to their lives. This is a big service by SPHEEHA to the students as well as their families, to the nation and also to mankind. With gainful employment, students can rightly direct their energies to themselves and their families for overall better social milieus.
Due to the prevailing pandemic conditions, social distancing norms and other safety measures were duly exercised.
Speaking on the occasion, SPHEEHA President, Mr. M A Pathan (Former Chairperson of Indian Oil Corporation and Former Resident Director, Tata Sons) said that, “SPHEEHA continues its tradition of the past 16 years with its commitment of improving the environment and social upliftment. We hope to do more in the coming years.”
