It is said that Drawing is a form of visual art that has been used as a specialised form of communication before the invention of the written language, demonstrated by the production of cave and rock paintings around 30,000 years ago. These initial drawings are known as pictograms which depicted objects and abstract concepts. Eventually people used instruments to mark paper or other two-dimensional surface.  Today it is the era of Digital drawing  where drawingsare created using graphics software’son a computer with the aid of a stylus or finger on a touchscreen device and in some cases a computer mouse. Drawing and painting helps develop fine motor skills, writing, reading, creativity and boost self-esteem in kids. It is also an excellent way for children to express their feelings and emotions and when the expressions are coupled with environmental consciousness, it creates magic.

SPHEEHA – which is a registered NGO in India working towards Environment protection & awareness with chapters across the world, recognised that to educate and make the future generations aware of SDG goals including the concepts of environment conservation, climate change, agroecology and ecology protection, Drawing & Painting would be one the best learning aids.
