The 26th of November, 2022 witnessed the entire Bhopal resonate with a resounding, loud and clear message of ‘Celebrating Diversity’ as St. Joseph’s Convent, Idgah Hills, Bhopal celebrated its 66th Annual Function. Principal Sister Lily, had put up a massive show and the efforts of the students and teachers came out beautifully at the Annual Function. The theme of the function of “SJC – An Epitome of Vision”, where the school took up the responsibility of spreading the message of transforming the world. The most unique feature of this program was that more than 2,500 students participated in this grand event. The Chief Guest for this grand occasion was Maj. Gen. Sumer Ivan D’Cunha, GOC Paschim Madhya
Pradesh Subarea accompanied by his wife Mrs. Farha. Many special dignitaries also graced the occasion. The program began with lighting of the lamp to invoke God’s divine presence and grace. This was followed by a prayer dance. A warm welcome was extended to the audience through Abhinandan, a welcome song. The Chief Guest and other dignitaries were offered bouquets of flowers.
This was followed by the theme song, SJC – An Epitome of Vision, which highlighted the theme of the program. A message to conserve the creation by taking some significant actions was given through the item “Call of the Hour”. The tiny tots of the KG section presented “A Letter to Nature with Love” in which they expressed their love and concern for the nature through an action song and a dance. Post-Covid, the world has witnessed a lot of change, especially in the emotional bonding. “Seasons of Emotions” presented this change and solutions in the emotions and feelings through colours. The present age is gripped in the digital media. The skit “Zest to Make a Difference” staged the different scenarios of how people have become addicted to devices and how we must use them judiciously. A deep and profound message to remove corruption and disharmony in the world and to establish peace was given through the item “Navigators of Peace”.
A scintillating fusion dance “Rhythmic Synergy” was performed by the students to show that Diversity can be celebrated in all its colors by being united. The Annual Report “Guardians of Cosmic Unity” presented the achievements of the teachers and students in various fields in the present academic year. The Chief Guest, Maj. Gen. Sumer Ivan, in his address, expressed his appreciation for the grand show presented by the school.
The Principal, Sr. Lilly gave the Vote of Thanks. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
